I personally experienced the power of realizing I didn't know what I didn't know.
I personally experienced the power of realizing I didn't know what I didn't know. And then my life started changing.
You might be, like I was, someone who is mostly concerned with knowing as much as you can. You believe like I did that knowledge is the constant focus of your life.
I wanted to know a lot of things but I had the wrong focus. I wanted to be perfect and I thought having a lot of knowledge would serve that desire.
Then I heard someone in an Executive meeting say "We don't know what we don't know. So, how are we going to find out our limitations?"
That was it! I felt like I was limiting myself because I was trying so hard to be perfect and know it all.
I still want to know a lot of things. The difference is my focus.
My desire is to find out every day more and more about what I don’t know yet. I intentionally seek out the edge of my knowledge.
It is so thrilling to stand at the edge of a cliff or on top of a mountain. I feel a similar thrill when I stand at the edge of my knowledge.
What's better than that? Is standing with someone else at their edge of their knowledge.
And that's when life suddenly opens up & we realize how grateful we are to be alive. And how much we have missed living so far.
